Vero Beach Police Department employees are required to provide service that transcends community expectations.  Highly skilled and motivated individuals work in unison to form a cohesive team of professional law enforcement personnel dedicated to the community and each other.  

We value education and believe in today’s society it is a necessary step in providing the type of service our community desires and deserves.  Because we believe education is a necessary tool the City of Vero Beach will provide tuition assistance for any non-probationary employee wishing to continue their studies regardless of their position within our organization.  The City will reimburse up to two courses per semester limited to the rate charged by the University of Central Florida as well as 50% of the cost of course required textbooks.
