Medical Field & DCF - Fingerprint Information
New requirements mandate submission of fingerprints and photographs for anyone in a variety of positions in the medical field to include the Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA), Medicaid, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, and any other entity required to submit data to the AHCA Clearinghouse. Also, beginning March 3, 2015, the Department of Children and Family Services will also require fingerprint and photograph submission for summer camps.
Screenings handled through the Clearinghouse must be initiated and registered through the Clearinghouse prior to referring the employee or potential employee for fingerprinting. “Initiating screening” requires the employer register the employee or potential employee through the AHCA Background Screening website before sending the person to a Livescan Vendor for screening. For guidance on how to initiate a screening, please review the Clearinghouse Result Website Guide.
In addition to initiating and registering and employee or potential employee prior to getting fingerprinted, the Clearinghouse, as noted above, requires a photograph to be attached electronically with the fingerprints.
At this time, the neither the Vero Beach Police Department or the Indian River County Sheriff's Office are able to submit fingerprints with an attached photograph to the AHCA Clearinghouse. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Please refer to the 'Commercial Fingerprinting' link below for local providers that can do these submissions.
