Weather Resources
The Vero Beach Police Department has installed a weather station for use to get more accurate weather data in times of weather events. Since this system has the ability to upload the data online, we are making it publicly available for everyone!
This data is only used to supplement the official weather reports, please make sure you use official sources for weather alerts, and notices form the NWS. Here is a link to NWS Melbourne

The station is situated on our roof, approximately 34ft (10.3m) in elevation which is almost exactly the recommended height for the wind anemometer! Also, with the City's ordinance on building height it has a clear path, with minimal obstruction. This will let us know when we need to close the bridges to traffic during a hurricane!

We have our data uploading to multiple online platforms.
