- In the effort to minimize crowds, the City of Vero Beach has closed the PUBLIC access points that we control to the beach. These are South Beach, Jaycee, Humiston, Riomar, and some smaller access points.
With that being said, there are miles of beach that are accessed via PRIVATE property whether it is a home, neighborhood, or business. The City of Vero Beach cannot deny access through those points.
We are not removing people from the beach, but please remember the goal is to prevent large crowds forming in areas that help slow down community transmission of COVID-19 among our residents.
Please take time to review measures recommended from the CDC on how to protect yourself and others: (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prepare/prevention.html)
